Inspiration

March 21, 2009

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

Power of LAMP !

January 27, 2009

LAMP

L= Linux

A= Apache
M= MySql
P= PHP
The four magical letters that have made life quite TOUGH for .NET (Microsoft)
what are they and why have they gained this much popularity in such a short span of time ??
the GURUs of development might find this post stupid but for some of the NEWBIEs this one can be of some help.
Open Source for me is just like a number of GURU programmers wanting to do more and more, so they make applications and them most them on internet for people to use for free and EDIT for their needs, that is, the source code is made available
And now these GURU programmers have moved quite ahead and have developed their own open source Operating Systems (e.g. LINUX-OS), their own Web Server(HTTP Server named APACHE), database engines (such as MySql) , their own server side scripting language (PHP bieng quite common of them all), and many more..

That was the very little knowledge of the world of Open Source that i have till now, but i believe this post will soon find more information on this topic by some of the experienced developers.

WEB Development

PHP being the one of the most powerful WEB Development language backed by the great community of OPEN SOURCE programmers. BUT.. is every powerful language difficult and non userfriendly ?? or is it some kind of contract between microsoft and opensource developers ??

ASP.net on the other hand, another product from the microsoft family, giving a great ease of DEVELOPMENT to it’s developers with a great IDE and programmer friendly development environment & alot of builtin libraries to support development.
Now the questions my mind raised today are:
1. Can we write a PHP script in Visual Studio(VS).. or will it be possible in future ?
2. Can we create a webpage using scripts both from ASP.net & PHP at the same time?
came to know that PHP needs an OPEN SOURCE server such as APACHE!!,
while ASP.net requires IIS…
so will this difference really matter ? can’t we add up views on a page, one from ASP.net & the other from PHP?
has this been done before?
